Crossroads Crisis Care (C3) Program
Crossroads Crisis Care (C3) Program is a behavioral health initiative that works alongside local law enforcement to support individuals encountered during calls involving mental health or substance use concerns. The program serves as a primary follow-up connection after law enforcement response, helping individuals access appropriate mental health treatment, substance use services, and other community resources that may be identified.
By providing coordinated follow-up and connection to care, C3 helps ensure individuals receive the support they need while also reducing repeat crisis calls. This collaborative approach can help prevent unnecessary emergency room visits and reduce the likelihood of incarceration when behavioral health treatment and community support are more appropriate.
The program was developed by Angela Solis, LCPC, CADC, founder of Crossroads Counseling Services. Angela brings over three decades of experience in the behavioral health field, beginning her career in 1995, with extensive work in both mental health and substance use treatment. She developed the C3 initiative to strengthen collaboration between behavioral health providers and law enforcement and to improve how communities respond to behavioral health crises.
Angela is joined in this initiative by Kellie Kennedy, CADC, a clinician with Crossroads Counseling Services who specializes in substance use disorder treatment and recovery support. Kellie brings over two decades of experience, beginning her career as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor in 2003. She has a broad knowledge of local community resources, helping connect individuals to the services and supports needed for stabilization and long-term recovery.
Together, they collaborate with law enforcement and community partners to strengthen crisis response, improve access to care, and support safer, healthier communities.
